A few of you are thinking, 'I can hear this photo.' If you can, know that I appreciate you for it and I hope we laugh together soon. It's mid-November, all the local field-grown flowers have been finished for a month, and fall feels like it has been whisked away, right out from under my nose. I am not really a summer gal (yikes, I said the quiet part out loud) but I definitely miss the length of the days, and the rhythm of flower pickups and time with my floral community. I miss looking out and seeing the sun painting the tops of the trees with that fiery glow, even as the leaves put on their colourful coats and make their exit. Well, that's done now, and it's time to (re)learn the rhythms of late fall and winter. This is kind of an update, and kind of a to-do list. The coming season is for gratitude, mindfulness, preparing good food with friends, making things with my hands, cold dips in the lake, and learning how to start and keep a woodstove fire going. Check in if I haven't heard from you lately; how's it going over there?
Photos by the loveliest . Thank you for capturing me in both of these moments.
