If you have a generac and it will not start or will not stay running.

1.Take off the side panel that has the battery in it. Take a snow blower and blow the snow out if this area. This is your air intake

2. Take off your air filter (orange hasp) and knock the ice and snow out of your air box

3. Press the red stop or off button and then enter to clear your error code and attempt to restart in manual or auto

4. If the generator will not stay running. Repeat step 3 with a space heater on standby and force feed warm air into the air inlet by the battery. This seems to be working for most people.

I am trying my best to make it to everyone who calls in that is located IN TOWN

Thanks

Here's the long awaited everything you need to know about Govee Permanent Christmas lighting. After getting at least 2 calls a day I figured I should make an informational post about these lights, what I've learned after installing a couple of sets, and some pricing guidelines for a professional install.

The Govee lights have not been on the market for very long, so I cannot speak to the longevity of the lights themselves. The Govee lights come with a sticky back adhesive for mounting, which does not work on most homes with a steel perforated soffit. This can be solved with custom 3d printed brackets that clip onto the lights and accept 1 or 2 screws depending on the style, which I have the capability to make.

The Govee lights come with a large smart driver that must be mounted under the exterior of the soffit, so I reccomend buying a little extra length to wrap around the sides of a home so we can hide this driver around the corner so it is out of sight. That being said, you will need a receptacle mounted in the soffit or close to it, to plug in this driver. There are 2 ways to go about this, pipe from an existing exterior plug, or fishing through your attic. A good price reference for a smart receptacle done either way is $300

The Govee original lights cannot be cut an extended, but do come with 16 foot extensions cables to make small transitions. The Govee pros do advertise being able to be cut and extended up to 60 feet, but I have yet to work with them and cannot speak to the looks or functionality of splicing these kits.

I reccomend that customers shop the best sales on their own Govee lights. All prices below do not include the light kits themselves, only the install. If you are not sure how many feet you need, consider looking at a satelite image of your home in Google maps and using their free measuring tool to get a rough idea.

Install price by foot under 5 degrees celcius outdoor temperature as follows:
$11.00 per foot under 12 feet max height
$13.50 per foot over 12 feet but not exceeding 18 feet max height
$16.00 per foot over 18 feet but not exceeding 24 feet max height
Free quotes on projects exceeding 24 feet in height

If you would like to save, consider waiting until next year and getting the lights installed in the spring or summer, and all prices drop by $1.00 per foot when the temperature is above 5 degrees

I hope this answers alot of your questions about these lights

Thanks
Harlen
