We're Hiring: Estimator
📍 The Ironstone Building Company | Full-time, permanent, on-site | $70,000–$80,000/year
Know your way around a set of drawings? Can you name a product, its supplier, and what it costs off the top of your head? We want to talk to you.
Ironstone is looking for an Estimator to own takeoffs and pricing on our residential projects — from concept budgets to tender-ready bids. This isn't a role for someone who just knows software; it's for someone who knows construction. Materials, assemblies, suppliers, methods — you're the person the team turns to.
What you'll do:
🔹 Prepare quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
🔹 Read drawings and specs, and catch what's missing before it costs us later
🔹 Source the right materials from the right suppliers at the right price
🔹 Level subcontractor and supplier quotes
🔹 Use (and help improve) our AI-powered estimating tools
What you bring:
✅ Real construction experience — field, trade, purchasing, coordination or estimating
✅ Strong material and assembly knowledge
✅ Sharp Excel skills and comfort with estimating software
✅ Curiosity about AI tools (experience is a plus, not a must)
✅ A knack for spotting a number that doesn't look right
