I was sad to hear of the passing of Dr. Jane Goodall at the age of 91 🦍

I had no idea she made such a significant contribution to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park.

The legendary primatologist and anthropologist reviewed the original concept for Disney’s Animal Kingdom 🌳 As the park was being built, she offered up guidance and support to help the park become a reality. She also attended its grand opening in 1998.

On the Tree of Life is a plaque of dedication along with a carving of the original chimpanzee - David Greybeard - who first approached Goodall during her time at Gombe National Park in Tanzania 🐒

Thank you for so much, Dr. Goodall. Next time I’m at DAK I will be thinking of you. May you rest in peace 🙏🏻

Always our first ride for every Disney vacation … the monorail at Orlando International airport. This is when the reality of vacation settles in and we find our happy! The Automated People Mover (APM), which is often referred to as a monorail, is used to transport passengers between the main terminal and the South terminal. The APM is a key part of the airport’s transportation system.
