Here’s our top three closing tips for making your life easier in the spring.
1. Close with clean, balanced water
Vacuum, remove debris, balance the water, and add the proper winter chemicals. Whatever goes in dirty usually comes out… still dirty.
2. Use a properly fitted winter cover
Make sure it’s secure with no gaps. Leaves are great on trees—not decomposing in your pool all winter.
3. Don’t close too early
Wait until the water stays consistently below 15°C. Closing while it’s still warm is basically giving algae a cozy little vacation home.

Watch us do a quick little solar blanket install!
A solar blanket is one of the easiest ways to keep your pool warmer and reduce operating costs. It helps retain heat, reduces water evaporation, and can lower your chemical usage by protecting the pool from the sun. For best results, keep it on whenever the pool isn’t in use and remove it before swimming. A little extra effort goes a long way in keeping your pool warm, clean, and efficient.
