A Week of Engaging Work, Unexpected Loss, and Aromatic Innovations

Last week was both an exceptional and intense time for us. We had the privilege of putting together several proposals for impending electrical projects, and we were thrilled to receive confirmations for all of them. This influx of new work brings a fresh wave of excitement and anticipation to our team.

Among the assorted tasks we tackled, a couple of smaller electrical jobs were also on the agenda. We had the opportunity to serve an endearing elderly couple. Sadly, the day after our visit, we received news that the gentleman had passed away. They both were in their eighties, a testament to a long life lived side by side.

Returning to their home today, we brought along a petite African violet in a planter - a small token of our heartfelt condolences. It served as a poignant reminder of the swift pace of life and the constant ebbs and flows that punctuate our existence.

On a lighter note, our homegrown garlic plot has been keeping us busy as well. Recently, we trimmed off the scapes - the flower stalks of the garlic plant that are a culinary delight. Venturing into a new kitchen experiment, we dehydrated these scapes and processed them into a powder, creating a unique, homemade garlic scape spice. This new addition promises to add an extra kick to our meals and is a fun way to incorporate the fruits of our gardening labor.

As we reflect on the past week, we are reminded of the joys and sorrows that life presents, both in our work and personal lives. We are excited for the projects ahead, mindful of the fleeting nature of time, and continue to seek delight in our homegrown culinary exploits.
