This home in Vernon had two separate attic spaces totaling approximately 1,000 sq. ft., both requiring professional mold remediation. Our team treated the affected sheathing and framing with an antimicrobial disinfectant and mold stain remover to help restore the attic surfaces.

Another attic remediation complete!

This attic in Vernon had significant microbial growth and deteriorating material surrounding a whirlybird roof vent. Our team carefully cleaned and treated the affected wood, removing loose debris, peeling material, dust, and visible microbial growth.

The whirlybird itself was also cleaned of mold, dust, and debris, along with the surrounding sheathing and trusses, leaving the area significantly cleaner and properly treated.

Attic mold is often connected to excess moisture, ventilation issues, or condensation around roof penetrations. Catching it early can help prevent the growth from continuing and spreading to a larger area.

Small attic. Big transformation.

This East Kelowna attic had an extremely low pitch, making access and remediation a challenge, but our Mold Masters team got it done.
We carefully worked through the tight attic space to treat the affected sheathing and framing, removing the visible microbial growth and restoring the area to a much cleaner condition.
Attic mold can develop from excess moisture, poor ventilation, or condensation, and low-pitch attics can make proper remediation especially difficult. That’s where having the right equipment, training, and remediation procedures matters.

What’s hiding behind your baseboards? 👀

In bathrooms and other moisture-prone areas, mold can sometimes be growing where you can’t see it. In this case, once our team removed the affected MDF, we uncovered microbial growth on the material and framing behind it.

Our team set up proper containment around the work area and ran a carbon HEPA air scrubber throughout the remediation process to help control airborne mold spores, dust, and odours.

The affected MDF was carefully removed and disposed of, exposing the framing so it could be thoroughly cleaned and treated with a commercial-grade antimicrobial disinfectant, followed by our industrial-strength mold stain remover.

Sometimes the visible damage is only the beginning — removing affected materials allows us to properly address what’s happening behind the wall.

Our Mold Masters team recently tackled a mechanical closet in a Vernon basement that had excessive microbial growth caused by previous water damage.
