A LONG WEEK IN MOLEGA LAKE AND A LOT ACCOMPLISHED

It’s been a long, hard week brushing roads throughout the Molega Lake area, but seeing the difference at the end of each day makes the work worthwhile.

Our crews have spent the week cutting back years of roadside growth, removing overhanging limbs, clearing encroaching brush, improving sightlines and opening up the travelling surface along several roads in the area.

This type of work is about much more than making a road look cleaner.

Proper roadside brushing helps:

• Improve visibility around corners and intersections
• Create better clearance for vehicles, service trucks and emergency equipment
• Keep vegetation away from the travelled portion of the road
• Improve access to roadside ditches and drainage
• Reduce branches and woody growth interfering with overhead infrastructure
• Allow more sunlight and airflow to reach the road surface
• Keep private roads safer and easier to maintain throughout the years to come

With a fleet of trucks, commercial chipper, saw crews and support vehicles working through narrow wooded roads, there is a lot of coordination that goes into completing this work efficiently while keeping the road accessible and the worksite organized.

What makes working in Molega Lake particularly meaningful to us is the history we have here.

ATR has been working in the Molega Lake area for approximately 17 years.

Year after year, we have had the opportunity to return to this community for tree removals, pruning, roadside work, property improvements and many other projects.

After that many years, many of the people we work for are no longer simply names on a work order. They are familiar faces and long standing clients who have trusted ATR with their properties repeatedly.

That trust means a great deal to us.

There is something special about returning to an area every year, seeing the properties we have worked on in the past, catching up with clients and continuing to help maintain and improve the community.

We are extremely grateful for the continued support we receive throughout Molega Lake and the surrounding area.

ATR Operational Update | August 1–10

ATR will be temporarily suspending field operations from August 1 through August 10 while our entire team focuses on significant upgrades to our headquarters and operations facility.

Over the past several weeks, we’ve continued serving clients throughout Nova Scotia while simultaneously preparing the next phase of our company’s growth. During this period, we will be completing several major projects, including:

* Completion of our newly insulated operations building, creating a more efficient year-round workspace for our team and equipment.

* Installation of a dedicated solar power system to improve energy efficiency, increase resiliency, and support off-grid operations.

* Installation of a comprehensive security camera system to better protect our fleet, equipment, and facilities.

* Expansion of our fleet technology through Starlink integration, allowing our crews to maintain reliable internet connectivity virtually anywhere in Nova Scotia. This provides dependable access to digital work orders, aerial mapping, safety documentation, weather monitoring, and client information even in areas where cellular service is limited or unavailable.

* Reorganization and optimization of our shop to improve workflow, equipment maintenance, and operational readiness.

* Preparing for the arrival of the newest addition to the ATR fleet our Kubota excavator which will further expand our capabilities in excavation, land management, and arboricultural support services.

During this period:

Tree assessments, consultations, and quotations will continue as scheduled. Phone calls, emails, and project planning will continue without interruption.

Field operations and on-site tree work will resume on August 11.

These improvements represent far more than new equipment or a renovated shop. They are investments in the long-term future of ATR and in our ability to provide safer, more efficient, and more responsive service to our clients across Nova Scotia.

Every successful company reaches a point where it must pause briefly to strengthen the foundation it is built upon. This is that moment for ATR, and we’re excited to share our progress with you over the coming weeks.
