🚛 Truck Talk #2 — Straight talk about what we do.

Got a question on our basement reel about the exposed floor joists, so here's the honest breakdown.

It's not just "paint it black and done." We clear the area, remove dust and debris, spot-prime any raw wood, and spray (not roll) for even coverage.

That's what makes an exposed ceiling look intentional instead of unfinished. Prep is the part nobody sees, but it's the part that makes the paint actually last. 🧰

Got an unfinished basement and wondering what it'd take? Send us a photo — happy to give you an honest answer.

Old Hamilton homes have character — and they have challenges.

This basement has wood paneling, oil-painted built-ins, and exposed joists, and each one needs a completely different approach before a brush ever touches it.

Skip the prep, and you're repainting again in a year. 🧰 Curious what your project would need?

Send us a photo and we'll tell you honestly what it'll take.

DM us a photo of your space — we'll tell you what prep it actually needs before you commit to a colour.

Sometimes it's the light that tells the story.

Freshly painted walls and trim allow natural light to do what it does best—make a home feel brighter, cleaner and more inviting.

This beautiful stairway was a pleasure to transform, and the afternoon sun through the leaded glass windows was the perfect finishing touch.

If you're thinking about refreshing your home this fall, we're now scheduling projects for August and September.
