You can have the nicest pavers in the world…

…but if the prep underneath isn’t done properly, you’re going to have problems.

The part you don’t see is often the part that matters most.

Proper excavation.
Proper base.
Proper compaction.
Proper drainage.

Don’t cheap out on the part you’ll never see.
It’s what keeps the part you love looking good for years. 👌

We’ve always loved when kids want to be part of what we’re doing.

Our clients’ kids, the neighbour kids… whoever happens to be hanging around while we’re working. 😂

If they’re curious, we’ll show them what we’re doing, let them help where we can, and get them involved.

Because honestly, some of our favourite moments on a job site have nothing to do with the actual landscaping.

It’s watching a kid get excited about planting something, digging in the dirt or seeing how it all comes together.

And who knows… maybe this becomes a core memory. Maybe we’re growing a little gardener, landscaper, or outdoor enthusiast without even realizing it. ❤️

We’re lucky to do what we do — and even luckier when we get to share it with the next generation.

Before the stone goes in.
Before the walls go up.
Before the backyard starts looking like the vision…

We tear it apart first ... ( yes, even some trees might have to go - but these were dead first )

This is the part of the project most homeowners don’t get excited about—but it’s where the transformation really begins.

Out with the old.
Clear the site.
Dispose of the debris.
Prep the space.
Then… the rebuild begins.

And trust us—the “before” is about to look VERY different from the “after.”

This front entrance had a great home behind it — it just needed a landscape that actually matched.

We took the standard builder exterior and gave it some serious curb appeal with a new entrance designed to feel intentional, unique and completely different from the house next door.

We can see the road ahead… and right now, it’s looking pretty white.

It might only be August, but at LP, snow season starts long before the first snowflake hits the ground.

Our team is already starting to prep equipment, plan routes, and put together snow removal estimates for local businesses so everything is ready to go before another Ontario winter arrives.

And if you own or manage a commercial property, now’s the time to start thinking ahead too. Don’t wait until the forecast says 15 cm overnight to figure out who’s clearing your parking lot. 😅

We’re now preparing our 2026/2027 commercial snow routes for Kitchener-Waterloo, Elmira, Fergus and Guelph.

Because around here, winter is always somewhere down the road. ❄️

It’s amazing what a little landscaping can do. 🌿

These Elmira homeowners wanted to give the front of their new build home a finished look — without going overboard.

We added new gardens, trees and plantings, finished everything off with fresh mulch, and gave the existing landscape a much-needed refresh.

Nothing overly complicated. Just the right plants, in the right places, to make the home feel a whole lot more welcoming.

And this is only day one. Our favourite part is knowing these gardens are going to look better and better as everything fills in. ❤️
