🇨🇦 CANADIAN LNG MOVES ANOTHER STEP FORWARD

Ksi Lisims LNG has signed a binding 20-year agreement to supply Germany’s SEFE with one million tonnes of LNG annually, with deliveries expected to begin in the early 2030s.

The proposed project on Nisga’a land near Prince Rupert, B.C., now has binding contracts covering seven million tonnes of its planned 12-million-tonne annual capacity.

For Canada’s industrial workforce and supply chain, this is a development worth watching. Advancing major energy projects can create opportunities across construction, skilled trades, transportation, maintenance and supporting businesses.

A final investment decision is still pending. This agreement marks another commercial milestone toward that decision.

Investor confidence is returning to Alberta’s energy sector.

Ovintiv’s $1.26-billion acquisition of Logan Energy is the latest major deal bringing investment and increased production to Alberta’s Montney region.

As investment grows, so must our access to global markets. Alberta has the resources the world needs, and we need the infrastructure to get them there.

Just days after B.C. voted in a Conservative majority, a $1.26-billion energy deal has been announced 🇨🇦🛢️

On October 26, Ovintiv announced its acquisition of Logan Energy, as B.C. prepares for a major shift in its approach to oil and gas development.

Incoming Premier Lorne Doerkson has pledged to double the province’s natural gas production by 2032, reduce regulatory barriers and encourage more investment in the energy sector.

The timing is notable, although there’s no indication the election result caused the acquisition.

With a new government promising to expand energy production, could B.C. be entering a new era of oil and gas investment? 👀
