We are so happy to welcome Tylan, Pam and Adam to Gold River's business community!
Inlet Impressions opened its doors yesterday and already we've enjoyed Adam's crepes, Pam's peanut butter cinnamon buns, and Tylan's photos and Canadian made goods.
We recommend checking it out for yourselves – and, while Adam's cooking up your crepe, see if you can guess where all of the photos were taken. Hint: they're all from within 100kms of our community!

Edgar is a journeyman electrician who moved to Gold River from Toronto two years ago. You may recognize him from his many other jobs in the community — Green Gold, Liquor Express and the Deli.

It takes a lot of support to run a small contracting business in a remote community – from the ladies at Uptown Cappuccino who keep me caffeinated to Henry at Speedy Boyz and Jeremy & Allison at Gold River Transport & Delivery who deliver my materials, Rick & Donna at Timbermart who always have exactly what I need, Ross & Jim at Gold River Auto Parts who bring in the parts for my truck and Dylan at Kennedy Kontracting who keeps my wheels on the road, the crew at Sea and Field who keep me fed and Mr. Kim at the Deli who keeps my favourite ice cream in stock.
We really appreciate every person & business that contributes to our success. We couldn't do it without you!

As we wrap up our first month of business, Ian and I would like to send out a heartfelt thank you to the community of Gold River for your warm welcome.

Thank you for stopping us on the street to say congratulations, thank you for choosing us when you have an electrical project (big or small!), thank you for welcoming Ian into your homes and thank you for sharing your stories about Dad. I cannot express how happy it makes me when Ian comes home at the end of the day with a new tale about the good ol' days in Gold River.

This community has truly made me proud to call Gold River both my hometown and my chosen home.

We are excited to announce that with a handshake and a smile, Jeremy Devlin of Vancouver Island Contracting has sold the electrical branch of his business to Ian Vaydik and Nicole Veerman, who are now operating under the name Veerman Electric.

The business is named in honour of Nicole's Dad — and Ian's father-in-law — John Veerman, who first came to this area as a log scaler in 1959 and permanently settled in Gold River in 1984.

We want to send out a huge thank you to Jeremy for helping us get this business off the ground. We look forward to providing residential and commercial electrical services to the community of Gold River.
