There are moments in life when we’re forced to face the unthinkable.

The unimaginable.

Times so heavy and dark, you wonder how anyone could possibly endure them—let alone rise through them.

But then, you meet someone like Stevie.

Stevie is six years old.

She’s funny, kind, incredibly smart—and the best big sister ever.

In July 2024, Stevie was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. After her first surgery, she couldn’t walk, talk, sit up, or even swallow. She lost her vision in one eye, and doctors discovered the cancer had spread through her brain and spine. And if that wasn’t enough—just one month after her diagnosis, her beloved dad died tragically in a motorcycle accident.

Unthinkable.

But Stevie? She’s fighting with purpose......

She’s completed six weeks of radiation and four rounds of chemo—with round five starting today, April 1st. And slowly but surely, she’s regaining her strength. She can walk short distances with a walker. She plays with her brother. She does crafts. And she’s pain free.

She’s still smiling. Still giving strangers compliments just to brighten their day.

When she lost her hair, she was scared people would laugh.

Now? She’s confident. She’s fearless. She’s happy.

Stevie is an inspiration.

A second part of this story is that her dad tragically died in a motorcycle accident in the midst of all this.

Her mom Kelsey, had to break this news to Stevie

Now this has become unfathomable.

Stevie, she wants to make her daddy proud...

She's fighting with purpose.

Kelsey, I don't know what she's fighting with.....faith and the support of Cape Breton Island and Prince Edward Island where they were living at the time.

I had the honour of photographing her and her little brother on Sunday, with our bunnies.

She laughed and giggled and, for a little while, she just got to be a kid again.

Her mom, Kelsey, is incredible. But she needs our help.
