The Sherman Project exterior is taking shape.

Once a single-level home, the expanded footprint now includes a full second storey, a new garage, and a front porch designed to give the home a more welcoming sense of arrival.

Warm wood tones, dark siding, layered stonework, and reimagined rooflines are bringing depth and character to the exterior while creating more space for the family within.

A home can feel timeless without playing it safe.

Project Tudor is layered with the kinds of details that give a space its character over time. Soft blue, warm wood tones, traditional millwork and thoughtful moments that make each room feel distinct, while still belonging to the same home.

It’s collected, comfortable and full of personality without ever feeling overdone.

Once we introduced blue into Alana’s kitchen, the next step was making sure it felt grounded within the rest of the home.

Warm brass, cognac and deeper brown tones helped balance the colour and brought in some of the more masculine elements we wanted throughout the design. The pendants over the island were one of those finishing details that tied it all together beautifully.

A good reminder that adding colour doesn’t always mean adding more colour. Sometimes it’s what you pair with it that makes it work.

When your comfort zone is “play it safe,” finding the right places to push becomes part of the process.

For Alana’s home, blue became the subtle thread of colour woven throughout, balanced by earthy browns and cognac tones that brought warmth, depth and a little more personality into the space.

It wasn’t about making bold choices for the sake of being bold. It was about finding the colours and layers that still felt like Alana, just with a little encouragement from Kelly along the way.
