ACL Construction Ltd is proud to support Project Heavy Duty year after year. This year marks our 4th consecutive year supporting this amazing community event that shows high school students how to operate many kinds of equipment while giving them a feel of a real work site.
Far left we have one of our long time operators Larry Gunderson who had the privilege of being one of the teachers to give hands on learning to the students.

When Northern BC communities need help, we show up.
ACL is proud to be a part of the work restoring the access along the Old Fort Road after the most recent slide. Projects like this are more than just moving dirt, they are about helping reconnect families, residents and communities safely and efficiently.
Huge respect to everyone putting in the work on this challenging project.

May 5 marks the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+ relatives (MMIWG2S+). It is also known as Red Dress Day.

While the MMIWG2S+ crisis goes back decades, the history of Red Dress Day goes back to 2010, when Métis artist Jaime Black put up art installations of red dresses in Manitoba. The sentiment of the Red Dress project is to confront the presence of violence against Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ relatives by exhibiting empty red dresses to create a visual display of the absence of those impacted.

MNBC acknowledges how much work still needs to happen to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our communities, while also recognizing the good work that is happening from Grassroots to Government to address the MMIWG2S+ epidemic. It is important to keep the conversation going as we continue to seek justice and collectively work to create safer spaces and for women, girls, and 2SLGTBQQIA+ relatives.

We encourage you to get involved with the local initiatives happening in your community, and to explore the resources below:

April 28th is National Day of Mourning.
Today we pause to remember and honor the workers who have lost their lives, been injured or made ill due to workplace incidents.
Let today be a reminder of the importance of safety, accountability and looking out for one another on every job and on every day.
