JOIN OUR TEAM
We are currently seeking experienced journeywoman/man carpenters to join our team for unique projects including restorations, renovations and custom home builds.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
Measure, cut and assemble materials – for framing and fine finish work.
Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, fit windows, doors, stairs, moulding and hardware.
Ensure work is completed according to code and safety standards
Skills Requirements:
Carpentry Apprentice or a minimum of 3- 5 years experience and knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials and tools
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
A keen attention to detail
Excellent oral communication skills, team player and reliability
Able to physically handle heavy loads, hard work and unique work sites
Offerings: competitive wages ranging from $30 – $50/ hour, depending on experience
Opportunities for Apprenticeship Training and Mentorship thru Skilled Trades BC
Work as part of a small enthusiastic team
Location: various locations in Fernie BC and area
Transportation: Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
