Its not very often I get to do 100 footers.. And to be real honest, yes, im scared of heights. What im not scared of is rated gear, my skills, and my knowledge of the industry!
This 20 ish degree leaner, over top a bank, looking couple hundred feet down, with a dead dry top had my knees a little weak!! Was it the tree shaking ? Or me hahah
The amount of problem solving involved in each and every tree I climb is what keeps me going and passionate about it. I look up and say to myself "s**t, so much more to climb". I look down and say "s**t. Pretty high allready. " but no matter the height, it's the same process.
Little maneuvers at a time, only worrying about what's at chest level, and soon enough topped out in gigantic trees. Its more than the rush, its the mental gymnastics!
