I was planning on waiting until full job completion to post pictures of the progress and changes at the smoky river community hall, but given how awesome it all turned out, and considering all that’s left is some panel scheduling and circuit labeling tomorrow, here we are.

We did a full lighting upgrade through the main hall area, bypassing all 72 ballasts, and replacing the lights with some LED non ballasted bulbs to provide some nice clean long lifespan lighting for hall activities!

We also added some very nice 6” regressed lighting to the stage area, on a dimmer, to allow future events and performing acts to really, “shine” in front of the audience. There was a lot of tape marking, lasering, and alterations in the spread layout to get that perfect coverage but in the end I believe we really nailed it, and we hope everyone enjoys them as much as we do.

Humongous shoutout to Wyatt Konowalyk for being the greatest friend/coworker a guy could ask for, coming out on his days off from work to help hammer this project out to stay under the estimated time to complete. And for once again mirroring the quality of work I put out. Oh, AND, for sweeping and mopping up the stage after we were done the lighting as well! (I know, electricians cleaning up?? Who’d have thunk it?!)

Being able to breathe new life into this hall through all of the projects we’ve been involved in so far has been an honor, and we are very excited to continue assisting them in bringing this staple of our community into the modern age with the upgrades we’ve done and will do in the future.

This has been a neat project to be a part of. Seeing this building that has sat vacant for the entirety of my life getting some updates, and becoming livable, has been very cool. Found some time this afternoon to sneak over and get the finishing touches done on the suite, and it turned out awesome.

Massive lighting upgrade incoming!

Stay tuned at the end of May when we fully revamp this hall with some updated ballast free lighting and add some new recessed fixtures to the stage area to better accommodate lighting needs for future events held.

Feels good to get some conduit work in again.

Got to spend the day cleaning up a clients shop by running some conduit to eliminate some of the in wall ran circuits for their lighting, and to properly route the wiring for their overhead door.

Some three way switching was also added so they could actually control their lighting from switching as opposed to being breaker controlled prior to the changes.

Still have some things to finish up at a later date, but everything is energized and they are happy with the updates to their space.

No final pics in this post as it got late and I forgot about those, but plenty of progress pics to show the progress made!

Job 3 of the day was a very cool transfer switch setup for a client out on their acreage to remedy the pesky alberta power outages we’ve all come to know. A custom gen input box with recessed and covered input plug for connection was also added to prevent having a cord hanging off the switch when not in use.

A Clean install and a happy customer.

A beautiful day for some lighting upgrades!

Spent the day doing a full warehouse lighting upgrade for the St. Isidore Co-Op Limited warehouse in falher, removing all of the dying fluorescent bulbs and ballasts and upgrading to some nice LED ballast free replacements so they can enjoy being able to see without having the worry of ballast failures moving forward.
