Did you know when you change one of your gas appliances to high efficiency, you need to consider your chimney may need a new smaller liner? If your home has a hot water tank and a furnace using the chimney for exhaust. But then you change one appliance to a new high efficiency. You must consider the reduction of volume the old chimney is now seeing. This can actually be very harmful.
Please check with your contractor.
