ACQBuilt is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Draftsperson to join our Drafting Department.
This role is ideal for someone who understands residential construction and can turn architectural designs into accurate, production-ready drawings for off-site manufacturing.
As a Draftsperson at ACQBuilt, you’ll work closely with our drafting, production, estimating, construction, and skilled trades teams to develop framing layouts and production drawings for walls, floor panels and roof systems.
You’ll use advanced design and manufacturing technology, including SEMA and CNC production systems, while helping optimize designs for efficiency, quality and constructibility.
We’re looking for someone with:
• Strong knowledge of residential wood-frame construction and carpentry • Exceptional attention to detail • Strong technical communication and organizational skills • The ability to solve problems and develop practical solutions • Experience working with timelines and multidisciplinary teams • 3–5 years of residential framing experience is preferred • Drafting or carpentry education/certification is an asset • Experience with CAD, SEMA, MiTek, Revit, AutoCAD or similar software is an asset • Knowledge of building codes and CNC manufacturing is an asset
