Meet the Neighbourhood Heroes Class of 2026 💚

Introducing the 6 Heroes who joined our star-studded squad.

These are the people you’ll see on your lawn, at your door, and out in the community this season.

They’re students, recent grads, future engineers, future lawyers, future public servants, musicians, athletes, movie lovers, Oilers fans, and big-dreamers. More importantly, they’re good people who care about doing the work right and treating every neighbour with respect.

Over the next few weeks, you'll be seeing and learning more about each of our Heroes so you can get to know the people behind the service. Their goals. Their stories. Their personalities. The reason they show up.

Because great lawn care starts with great people.

And yes, we’re always looking for more Heroes. If you know someone hardworking, friendly, community-minded, and built for the outdoors, send them our way.

Tomorrow, Team Canada kicks off its FIFA World Cup campaign, and for the first time in history, Canada is helping host the biggest sporting event on the planet.

World Environment Day is a good reminder that “sustainability” isn’t a buzzword, it’s a series of choices. The kind you make when nobody’s watching.

At Neighbourhood Heroes, this is the whole point of how we operate: beautiful outdoor spaces without the usual noise, fumes, and waste. That’s why we’ve committed to fully electric service equipment, why we obsess over efficient routing (fewer kilometres, less impact), and why we stick to pet and child-friendly products so your yard can be enjoyed safely, not “managed” with mystery chemicals and crossed fingers.

And as certified Pollinator Stewards, we’ll say this plainly: a great lawn doesn’t have to come at the expense of the ecosystem around it. Healthy soil, smart watering, dense turf, and targeted applications beat reckless “spray and pray” every time.

If you want to mark World Environment Day in a way that actually moves the needle, here are a few simple, high-impact moves:

* Mow higher (your grass shades the soil, holds moisture, and stays stronger in heat)
* Water deep, not daily (fewer sessions, healthier roots, less waste)
* Aerate annually (especially in Edmonton’s clay-heavy soil) to improve air + water movement
* Choose cleaner equipment when you can, and support companies who do the same

We didn’t “pause mowing.” We sold out. ⚡️🌿

Our fully electric lawn mowing program has officially reached capacity for the season — and honestly, that’s the strongest kind of social proof we could ask for. Neighbours want quiet, clean, premium mowing… and the demand has spoken.

Here’s the real timeline:

* Our mowing packages go on sale in January
* They typically sell out by July–August
* This year’s sell-out is another milestone in how fast Neighbourhood Heroes is growing

If you missed it, you can still get in line: the waitlist is now open. Spots do open up as schedules shift or neighbours move, and we’ll reach out in order when they do.

(And if you still want your lawn looking sharp this season, our Healthy or Beautiful Greens can still make a massive difference even if mowing is full.)
