🏠 Myrkheim Customs Modular Units – Built Right Here in Alberta
We’ve had a lot of people asking what it actually costs to set up one of our 10×10 modular units, so here’s a straight breakdown.
A standard build includes:
Base structure: framing, insulation, OSB interior, and steel or wood siding
Electrical: lights, outlets, and a power box
Interior finish: drywall, flooring, and trim
All in, the real material and labor cost runs between $6,500 and $7,500, depending on finish and material availability.
Our $10,000 price covers that — plus a bit of overhead so we can stay an Alberta employer. That small margin keeps local trades working, supports fair pay, and allows us to keep building affordable, high-quality modular units without cutting corners.
To get started, most customers put down a $3,500–$4,000 deposit, which secures materials and locks in their build slot. The remainder can be handled through staged or monthly payments, typically around $350–$500 depending on upgrades.
Each unit can serve as:
✅ A small business workshop or studio
✅ A backyard office or creative space
✅ A compact first-home starter
✅ A durable, insulated storage or off-grid cabin
And if you’re thinking bigger — these units can be combined. You can link multiple modules side-by-side to create open layouts, add extensions, or even go two levels high with proper foundation and structural support. It’s a system built to grow with you — one unit at a time.
At Myrkheim Customs, our goal is simple: help Albertans build practical, affordable spaces that look good, hold up to our climate, and support the people building them.
