With our Doig River First Nation project wrapping up, we want to recognize a very special “bonus” member of our crew.

Since the early days of this project in late 2024, local resident Pam has been hand-delivering her incredible homemade baked goodies to our team on site.

While the sweet treats are always appreciated, it’s Pam’s visits that our crew has come to look forward to most. The warmth and generosity behind these simple gestures are a powerful reminder of why we’re so passionate about what we do - the people and the community.

We’re incredibly grateful to the DRFN community for their hospitality over the past 18 months. And to Pam - thank you. Your kindness (and your cookies) have made a lasting impact on our entire team.

Petrocom is pleased to announce that we have been acquired by BGIS Global Integrated Solutions Canada LP.

Over the past 20 years, Petrocom has built a strong reputation as a leader in our industry, driven by trusted relationships, a dedicated and growing team, and deep technical expertise.

This acquisition brings the added support and resources of BGIS, a multi-billion-dollar global leader in facility management, project delivery, design/build construction, and real estate services. Together, this partnership will enable Petrocom to pursue new opportunities, expand into broader markets, and sustain long-term growth - all while remaining firmly grounded in the values on which our company was built.

We look forward to the opportunities ahead and are excited about this next chapter for Petrocom.

Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation - a day where we pause to reflect upon the history of our country, and what it means to support reconciliation.

We honor the residential school survivors, those who were lost, and the families and communities whose lives were forever changed.

Petrocom remains committed to learning, standing in solidarity with our Indigenous communities, and fulfilling our responsibility to build an inclusive, and respectful future.

Thanks to the team at ReStore for taking the time to show us around their facility and share more about the incredible work they do.

Supporting our community is important to us, and we're proud to partner with an organization that creates positive impact through sustainability and giving back.

We're grateful to have established this partnership, and we look forward to providing our ongoing support to Habitat for Humanity Edmonton in the future!

This week, we were pleased to welcome Matt Gifford, President of Petrocom Construction, for a tour of our main offices and ReStore North!

Earlier this summer, Petrocom made a generous gift-in-kind donation of over $24,000 to ReStore — helping us grow our impact and support environmental sustainability.

Founded in 2005, Petrocom has built its reputation on expertise, integrity, and excellence. Their commitment to community makes them an incredible partner.

💡 DID YOU KNOW? Every $1 spent at ReStore keeps 1.3 lbs of usable items out of the landfill. In 2024, our four ReStores diverted more than 7 million lbs — and with six ReStores now, that number will only rise in 2025.

Thank you to Matt and the entire Petrocom team for your generosity and vision. Together, we’re keeping more items in use and building a stronger community!

Last month, Petrocom celebrated a huge milestone. February officially marked 20 years in business!

From humble beginnings in 2005 to being an industry leader in the Petroleum Construction field – we couldn’t have come this far without our incredible team, loyal customers, and unwavering support from our many valued vendors.

Over the past two decades our business has experienced fluctuating trends within the industry, ever changing construction technology, economic highs and lows, and a global pandemic. Through these experiences, we have grown, discovered new ways to be innovative, built an undeniably positive reputation within our community, and remained true to the values that we founded Petrocom on in 2005; loyalty, collaboration, accountability, diligence, and trust.

We are grateful for the challenges we’ve overcome, the successes we’ve celebrated, and the bright future that remains before us.

Thank you for being part of our journey. Here’s to the next twenty years!

Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. A day for all of us to reflect on the tragic legacy of the Residential School systems across Canada, while honoring the strength and resiliency of the First Nations people.

This is a day for continuing our efforts to learn, provide empathy, and rebuild trust with our valued First Nations communities. We are honored to collaborate with First Nations clients across Western Canada, and we will continue to build a future based on respect and reconciliation.

Today, and every day, we honour the children who never came home, their families, and their communities.
