Woah 😅😴 Yesterday was a BUSY and emotional day!

It was the first day of Pre-Primary for my son, Sullivan. He was so excited and walked in with ZERO tears. Meanwhile, I cried the entire walk home after drop-off. 🥹❤️

AND it was the first day for new students at Dalhousie University! I was so excited when Dalhousie Student Union (DSU) asked me to host TWO Paint & Sips for their students. This was officially my biggest booking so far — two sessions back-to-back with 60 students in each!

Some students followed along with me step-by-step, while others decided to paint whatever they wanted while chatting with friends. Honestly, I LOVE seeing people make the activity their own. 🎨

I am SORE and still exhausted. 😂 I haven’t even unpacked the trailer yet, and it took about an hour and a half just to wash 240 brushes. TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY. 🫠

A huge thank you to my friend Erin - Visual Artist for helping me with this massive booking! Go check out her artwork — she’s incredibly talented. ❤️

And of course, a HUGE thank you to my amazing partner, Plasma Electrical Services (Nick), for helping with the logistics. He drove the trailer through a double-parked street while we all held our breath, watching him weave through the cars as we silently mouthed, “DON’T YOU DARE BLOCK OUR OPENING.” 😂🚚

I also have to highlight some of the other businesses that helped make the evening extra special!

Dalhousie Student Union (DSU) had an amazing selection of Craig's Cookies Halifax cookies, and I got to sample a few throughout the evening. My favourite was the Oreo one! 🍪

And the mocktails from Mix It Up Events & Mixology were SO beautifully presented! My favourite was the orange ginger one (sorry, I can’t remember the name! 😂). 🍊✨

What a day. Exhausting, emotional, chaotic, and SO much fun. 💕🎨

Paint & Sip at Ikea Halifax (Family Friendly Event)
Join Coastal Pigments for a fun and relaxing evening of painting! This guided Sunflower painting runs for approximately 2 to 2.5 hours and is a great beginner painting for adults or kids.

🖌 What to Expect:
✅ Guided Painting Session – No experience? No problem! Your instructor, Zara, will guide you step by step through the painting process.
✅ Sip & Socialize – Purchase a tasty beverage or meal to enjoy while you paint.
✅ All Supplies Included – We provide everything you need: a 16” x 20” canvas or 11" x 14", paints, brushes, stencils, and aprons (though we recommend wearing clothing you don’t mind getting a little messy).
✅ Group Seating Available – Coming with 5 or more friends? Please purchase your tickets together or email [email protected] in advance so we can seat your group together.
✅ Event is for everyone - Parent/Guardian Supervision: Parents or guardians must remain with their children for the entire duration of the event. Children cannot be dropped off or left unattended. Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their children and assisting them as needed throughout the event.
✅ Donating - Will be donating a protion of ticket sales to a non-profit. We havn't picked one yet. So stay tune!

Last Tuesday was a SOLD-OUT night at Chain Yard! 🎨🐈‍⬛

I had so much fun teaching the Maud Lewis Three Black Cats painting, and I absolutely loved seeing everyone put their own little spin on it. 🖤✨

Over half the group decided to make their cats look like their own furry friends, and honestly… it was the cutest thing! 🥹🐾

I’ll definitely be teaching this one again in October, so make sure you’re following me here and checking out my Eventbrite for upcoming events! 🎨🍎

Join me for a evening of Fairy House Decorating at Chain Yard Urban Cidery 🧚‍♀️

Step into a world of imagination and creativity with Coastal Pigments’ Fairy House Decorating Event! This whimsical, hands-on craft experience is perfect for everyone! This event is open to everyone. However with it being so late at night. We reccomend pre-teen and up to attend with parent or guardian.
Each participant will receive their own wooden fairy house or fairy door to paint and decorate. Once your fairy house is painted, the real fun begins! Choose from a huge assortment of tiny treasures to bring your fairy home to life.
We’ll have a magical crafting table filled with items such as:
✨ Miniature mushrooms
✨ Moss and greenery
✨ Tiny woodland animals
✨ Beads and gems
✨ Mini fences and ladders
✨ Flower accents
✨ Wooden slices and logs
✨ Fairy stickers
✨ Crystals and sparkly decorations
✨ And so much more!
Participants can let their imagination run wild while creating a one-of-a-kind fairy house or door to take home.
This event is designed to be relaxed, creative, and full of fun for all ages.
Important Information
• This is an event for everyone! All ages are welcome. Parents/guardians must stay with their children for the duration of the event. This is not a drop-off childcare service.
• All crafting materials will be provided, including hot glue and fast-drying glue.
• No artistic experience is needed—just bring your imagination!

Shoutout to my partner, ❤️

He has helped me SO much with my little business—from coming to events, packing the car, and helping set everything up, to literally building me backdrops! 🛠️🎨

He’s also the one who pushes me to get s**t done when I’m overthinking everything, while reminding me to give myself some grace when things don’t work out the way I planned.
