Feeling a draft around your windows?

As temperatures start dropping across Vancouver Island, those chilly drafts around your windows become a lot more noticeable.

Older or poorly sealed windows can mean:
❄️ Cold drafts and uncomfortable rooms
💧 Condensation and moisture buildup
🔥 More energy needed to keep your home warm
🔊 More outside noise getting in

The good news? You don’t have to look far for quality replacement windows.

Thermoproof Windows & Doors manufactures right here on Vancouver Island! 🇨🇦

With locally manufactured windows and doors designed for our coastal climate, Thermoproof is a great option for Island homeowners looking to improve comfort, energy efficiency, and the appearance of their homes.

Here’s a question: Can you feel cold air coming through your windows when the wind picks up?

If so, it might be time to look at your options.

Find Thermoproof on Find Me Contractors and learn more about their windows and doors.

🍂 Weekend Project Update: Gutters Cleaned! ✅

Before the long weekend, I shared that cleaning out my gutters was on my to-do list.

Well, I got it done! ✔️

It’s amazing how quickly leaves, needles, and debris can build up, especially here on Vancouver Island.

With the fall rain arriving, keeping gutters clear is one of those simple maintenance jobs that can help prevent overflowing water, drainage problems, and potential damage to your home.

🏡 Now I’m curious… did anyone else tackle a home maintenance project over the Thanksgiving weekend?

Drop your project in the comments! 👇

And if your gutters need more attention than a simple cleaning, Find Me Contractors can help you connect with local professionals.

Are your gutters trying to tell you something?

Cleaning your gutters is important, but sometimes cleaning isn’t enough.

Here are 5 signs it might be time to replace them:

🍂 Sagging or pulling away – Gutters that no longer sit securely against your house may not drain properly.

💧 Water overflowing – If your gutters are clean but water still spills over the edges, they may be improperly sloped, undersized, or damaged.

🔩 Rust, cracks, or leaking seams – Small leaks can turn into bigger problems over time.

🏡 Water pooling around your foundation – Poor drainage can lead to expensive moisture problems.

🌧️ Repeated repairs – If you’re constantly fixing the same sections, replacement might be the better long-term investment.

With Vancouver Island’s rainy season here, now is a good time to make sure your gutters are doing their job.

Not sure whether your gutters need repairs or replacement?

Find a local gutter professional through Find Me Contractors.
