J.S. CONSTRUCTION is so busy we are expanding, that’s right – we are HIRING!
We are looking for up to 3 experienced candidates to join the team and be able to work on their own as our “B” team. “B" team will be required to self sufficiently work as a reliable team.
We do everything from foundation to finish throughout major renovations and new construction.

POSITIONS TO FILL:

#1 - Journeyman carpenter for lead hand position. Trades ticket is required to fill this position. must have at least 2 years leadership experience, ability to communicate clearly with clients to keep them up to date on project completion etc. knowledge in concrete forming, framing, decks, and all aspects of building envelope, door and window installations, and interior finishing. Must have valid drivers license and reliable vehicle to go between multiple job sites.

#2- skilled laborer/carpenter - must have at least 2 years experience in the construction industry, ability to learn quickly. Must have valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle.

#3 – general laborer – must have an understanding and passion to join in the construction industry, ability to learn quickly, drivers license and a reliable vehicle is preferred but not a deal breaker.

MUST BE RELIABLE.

Wages TBD based on experience, work ethic, and productivity. Must take pride in your workmanship, cannot be afraid of heights, small spaces, etc.
We believe in quality over quantity and safety always comes first.

Preference given to those with experience in the following:
All aspects of concrete work, steel and wood framing. All aspects of building envelope and siding products. Drywall; board, tape and finish. Interior finishing, landscaping and hardscapes, decks and pergolas, fencing, minor electrical and plumbing and more...

Willing to train the right individual that shows motivation.

ASSETS:
fall arrest cert.
man lift / boom lift cert.
first aid cert.

TOOL REQUIREMENTS :
Tool belt, basic hand tools and steel toe boots.
Table saw, mitre saw, drills, circular saw, compressors, and air guns are an asset that can be earned through a tool allowance.

Still making progress on the interior remodel but waiting on the kitchen install now... all interior doors are painted, 200amp service upgrade, new mantle for a feature wall, tub installed and we ditched a couple more popcorn ceilings!

Goodbye ugly popcorn ceiling annnd hellllloo statement ceiling!

Facebook is on it again, reminding me to do a post becuase I am not on top of it as I should be... thanks FB... so heres some sneak peaks at what we have been up to for the last month.

We got the oil rubbed bronze finish door bell, house numbers and light fixture on and final dump runs done at the curb appeal reno.

We got mostly wrapped up on the open concept reno, a wet bar will be going under the satin etched window next,

And at the upstairs remodel, well we are having fun there! We signed off on the kitchen and bathroom vanity, new windows installed, new slider door installed, paint prep done in one room and pine on the ceiling ready for filler/sanding and primer/paint, epoxy color samples for the custom countertops, and prep for new main service install next week.

annnnd even managed to get the rig washed!

We got the BC-FIR door and casing installed last week with all hidden fasteners and the rest of the siding buttoned up at the front entrance. Waiting on some fancy address numbers and a door bell and then the curb appeal reno is complete! Cant wait to come back and do the rest of the house!
