Millennium Line Evergreen Extension

This SkyTrain rapid transit route formerly called Evergreen Line it was renamed Millennium Line Evergreen Extension in late 2015 the 6 station on the Evergreen Extension will open in December 2nd 2016. History of the Evergreen Extension (formerly Evergreen Line):
A SkyTrain to Coquitlam has been planned as early as Mid 1980s and the SkyTrain Line to Coquitlam was named Evergreen Line in the 2000s.

The Evergreen Line was originally suppose to be a light rail transit but couple years later TransLink decided to use SkyTrain technology on the Evergreen Line. The Evergreen Line has faced a lot of delays with the lines opening and was originally suppose to open in 2009 (Same year as the Canada Line) however the Canada Line opened 3 months ahead of schedule and on time for the 2010 Winter Olympics where the Evergreen Line got pushed back to 2011 then in 2008 it was pushed again from 2011 to 2014 and in 2011 it was yet again pushed back from 2014 to 2016 then in 2012 construction on the Evergreen Line has begun then in November 2015 the Evergreen Line was again pushed back from 2016 to Early 2017 and shortly after that the Evergreen Line was renamed to Millennium Line Evergreen Extension. Then in the summer of 2016 TransLink announce that the Evergreen Extension will open before Xmas 2016. On October 22nd to prepare for the Evergreen Extension the Millennium Line route between Waterfront station and Lougheed station was cut off and no longer serve Braid and Sapperton stations as well as the Expo Line stations between Waterfront and Columbia and Millennium Line only operate between Lougheed Station and VCC Clark station while the Expo Line just like the Canada Line has 2 routes with one route going to King George in Surrey and the other to Production way university stopping at Braid and Sapperton stations witch are 2 former Millennium Line stations. On November 7 2016 TransLink announce that the Evergreen extension will open to the public on December 2nd 2016 and announce a cool slogan for the Evergreen extension "Evergreen means go".
