In order for something new to be built, sometimes we get to break things. This 60+ year old concrete gave us a challenge. The excavator couldn’t lift it so we reached out to Cochrane Rental Centre and brought in some precision tools. 5 hours on the business end of a jackhammer and we got it ripped up.

Patio is complete on this project. Still more pieces to finish up on the walls, stairs and surrounding garden beds. But we are getting so close to completion. The snow that has started is giving our crew a well deserved bit of time off after lifting these Boardwalk pavers by The little ones weigh 30 lbs each, the large ones ... a whopping 120 lbs per piece. At least they cover a lot of ground quickly.

Another day of great progress on this boardwalk paver patio. Working on a Sunday means slower progress but it was still a great day. And since we worked the entire weekend, we brought out some The Grizzly Paw Brewing Company cold refreshments for the boys. These guys bust their tails working and they deserve every bit of credit and thanks for what they do.
