Hello Friends,

September Stone Sculpture Classes

This is a class for beginners, using hand tools, people who have never carved stone or have just a little experience and a bunch of desire.

Please share this with anyone who would like to learn about hand carved stone sculpture.

Contact me for additional classes on the use of power tools for intermediate or more advanced sculptors.

Stone Sculpture Workshop - September 2023

Now accepting students for the beginner soapstone sculpture classes beginning in September 2023.

During the class you will work on a small soapstone sculpture, Whale Tail, Loon
or a small design of your choice under the guidance and direction of Daniel Cline.

You will learn everything necessary to begin and complete a stone sculpture.

Each class size is limited to 4 students, on a first come, first served basis.

Suitable for beginners.

September Dates

Weekday and Weekend sessions.

Weekend - September 23rd and 24th

Weekday - Tuesdays 19th, 26th

Weekday -Thursdays 7th, 14th

Classes from 1-5pm daily.

Venue : My Sculpture Studio, Chemainus

Cost : $425 (Stone included)

General Outline
First hour - Safety equipment, stone types and tools, getting started. Demonstration by Daniel.
Next 6 hours - Individual instruction on technique, form and content and direct carving.
Last hour - Techniques for sanding and finishing.
