Backwoods Tree Cutting

10/10/2026

This is a post I never though I would be making, but unfortunately due to the rising costs of fuel, parts, and the decrease in call volume and cancellations over the past year we are no longer offering many services such as harvesting, mulching, stump grinding, tree and debris removals.

It has been a hard year and with winter coming it was only fair for everyone involved in the company to stop and reevaluate the direction of Backwoods Tree Cutting.

For the time being we are only offering Tree Planting, Plantation Maintenances, and Pre-Commercial Thinning thought the Province’s Forest Enhancement Program.

My apologies to anyone who was booked in for work this fall and you’ll be contacted in the coming week.

But if you’re interested in tree work, mulching, or stump grinding we can recommend some great company’s that we have worked with over the years.

Thank you everyone who has trusted us over the past 9 years,

Jeremy

One of the many small jobs this week. Pulverized standing dead wood back into the ground. Best part is the small footprint left behind!

Hey , we are looking to add to our silviculture crew for the summer into the late fall. Job entails tree planting, brush saw work (plantation maintenance, pre commercial thinning and custom thinnings), chainsaw work (logging, limbing branches, blocking wood) as well as some other odd jobs around the lumber yard and out on site.

Must have reliable transportation to the shop located in Cavendish every day as travel is provided from there.

Experience is not an asset but will be considered over other candidates.

If you or know of anyone that would be interested please private message me or text at 902 394-3261 and ask for Jeremy for more details.

Thank you!
