Hey , we are looking to add to our silviculture crew for the summer into the late fall. Job entails tree planting, brush saw work (plantation maintenance, pre commercial thinning and custom thinnings), chainsaw work (logging, limbing branches, blocking wood) as well as some other odd jobs around the lumber yard and out on site.

Must have reliable transportation to the shop located in Cavendish every day as travel is provided from there.

Experience is not an asset but will be considered over other candidates.

Here is the part I love about this business! Working with landowners and the Forest Enhancement Program.

This is one of the tougher projects we have been working on. A thick naturally over grown field of white spruce; estimated age of the trees is about 5-7 years old when we first started. First step 3 years ago was a Pre Commercial Thinning allowing air flow and space for the best trees to grow. After a couple winters to help pack down the thinned trees we finally got to do the second stage this spring! Fill plant in more diversity with Red Oak, Red Spruce, Eastern Larch, and Yellow Birch. Hoping to re-establish a more Acadian Forest!
