Finished up a rewarding project on my buddy Danny’s new home. It’s always great when work and friendship come together and even better when it’s with two guys I’ve always looked up to. Danny and Matt are not only incredible carpenters, but they bring good energy and real craftsmanship to every job.
I joined them as they were finishing up the framing on the roof, and we got right into loading shingles. With the sun shining and some great music playing in the background, the work flowed easy. Once the structure was ready, I got to work on the roofing, then helped Danny move on to the exterior siding. He went with hardy board vertical board and batten on the front, super clean look! Horizontal vinyl siding on the rest for that timeless finish.
More than just building a house, it was a chance to reconnect, catch up on life, and share some solid laughs along the way. Great weather, great music, and even better companY. Projects like this remind me why I love what we do. Already looking forward to the next one with these legends.
