Gardening is funny. Ft Teddy Bear Sunflowers

You learn something new every day, and just when you think you’ve figured it out, the garden humbles you 🤣🌻

I’ve always had a soft spot for sunflowers because, when I first started gardening, I couldn’t seem to grow them anywhere I actually planted them. Yet somehow they’d happily pop up in the driveway, the compost, or wherever they pleased.
Wild, free, and clearly not interested in following my gardening plans 🤪

I’ve been trying to grow Teddy Bear sunflowers for FOUR YEARS with absolutely no success. This year, I refused to accept defeat and planted new seeds.

Then my mom gifted me this beautiful pot of teddy bear sunflowers from seeds I had given her.. And somehow, after four years of trying, I finally have my very first Teddy Bear sunflower growing in my own garden. 🌻

A little reminder from the garden:
Sometimes things take longer than you expect, but don’t give up! and apparently, sometimes you just need your mom to grow the damn flowers for you 😂
(Thanks mom 💕)

A friend sent me this video when I was just getting the stand started, and it felt like such a beautiful reminder of the joy that comes from growing, buying, and simply having flowers around us 🌸

A little reminder to slow down, stay present, and enjoy the simple things… preferably while smelling the flowers and not worrying about your to-do list😂

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
