NOW HIRING – Excavation Operator / Labourer (Full-Time)
Island Iron Excavation Ltd. is looking for a motivated, dependable Excavation Operator to join our growing team.
We’re a small family-owned company that takes pride in doing quality work and treating our customers right. If you enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, building unique projects, and taking pride in the finished product, we’d love to hear from you.
Our work includes:
* Retaining walls
* Excavation and site preparation
* Perimeter drains and drainage systems
* Trenching and utility installation
* Concrete preparation and finishing
* Driveways and grading
* Landscaping
* Creative projects including ponds, waterfalls, outdoor living spaces, and more
What we’re looking for:
* Experience operating excavators (small machine experience is a strong asset)
* Valid Class 5 driver’s licence (dump truck and trailer experience is an asset)
* Willingness to get out of the machine and work alongside the crew whenever needed
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Strong attention to detail, especially on retaining walls and finish work
* Physically fit and comfortable performing manual labour
* Ability to read grade or use laser levels is an asset
* Reliable transportation
* Safety-conscious with knowledge of WorkSafeBC practices
* Professional attitude when interacting with customers
