We’re excited to announce that the Thermal Insulation Association of Canada (TIAC), the Thermal Insulation Association of Alberta (TIAA), and Thomas Kanata Inc.(TKI) are partnering on an Alberta government-funded initiative designed to bring 300 new tradespeople into the Heat & Frost trade over the next two years.

Program Eligibility:
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must currently reside in Alberta
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
• Eligible participants have up to 2 years to begin the program

Program Overview:

Online Training (Approx. 10 Hours)
• Self-paced and completed on your own schedule

Upon completion of the online training, participants will advance to:

2 Weeks of Hands-On / In-Class Training
• Week 1: Commercial Applications
• Week 2: Industrial Applications

Today, we recognize and celebrate Garth Allen on his retirement after 17 years of service with Thomas Kanata.

Over the years, Garth has been a valued part of the team, bringing experience, dedication, and reliability to every project and every crew he worked alongside. His commitment and hard work have helped contribute to the success and growth of the company throughout the years.

Seventeen years is an incredible milestone, and we are grateful for the time, effort, and knowledge Garth shared with the Thomas Kanata team along the way.

☕NOTICE COFFEE RATIONING PROGRAM – EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY☕

Due to recent increases in on-site coffee consumption, a coffee rationing program will be implemented across all project sites and all office locations.

Effective immediately, all employees will be limited to one (1) standard-sized cup of coffee per shift.

Additional cups may be requested through supervision; however, approval will be contingent on demonstrated operational need and subject to availability.

All coffee stations will be monitored to ensure compliance. Unauthorized refills, cup sharing, or “double pouring” will be considered a violation of company policy.

Please note that bringing in outside coffee is strictly prohibited and may be cause for reprimand!

We understand this adjustment may take time and appreciate your cooperation as we work to maintain fairness and consistency across all crews.
