A fire hall has to be two buildings in one. On one side, bays that house and wash down firefighting equipment. On the other, spaces where crews live with bunk rooms, kitchens, gyms, education and TV rooms.

A precast superstructure is designed to last. Their service lives are measured in decades, often up to 100 years with minimal upkeep.

A few reasons it goes the distance:
