Before any panel leaves our Fort Macleod plant, our diligent team walks the floor and puts eyes on it. We’re checking dimensions, finish, reinforcement, and lift points. It's the final stop in a process before it heads to your site.

That step never gets skipped. The people at MVP know their work holds up someone's barn, warehouse, or apartment building, and they take that personally.

Every part of factory-built construction is handled with skilled hands and a real pride in what ships.

Project Highlight: Standoff Colony Commercial Farm Shop. Fort Macleod, Alberta.
At 93,286 sq. ft., this facility was built to support a large-scale farm operation, day in and day out, for decades.

Mountain View Precast supplied the complete precast building package, including extensive insulated exterior wall panels and interior precast wall systems, giving the shop a durable, efficient building envelope that can handle the daily demands of an active agricultural environment.

A working building at this scale doesn't leave room for shortcuts. The Standoff Colony project is what it looks like when precast is done right: manufactured to spec, installed clean, and ready to earn its keep from day one.

Ag buildings take on more than almost any other buildings out there. Livestock, heavy equipment, washdowns, manure, fertilizer. Most wall systems weren't made for that environment.

Precast concrete was.
● Stands up to run-ins with machinery and animals
● Handles moisture and corrosives without rotting or rusting
● Noncombustible, which matters when feed, fuel, and equipment share a yard

From grain storage and livestock facilities to shops, precast panels are built at our Fort Macleod plant and delivered to ag operations across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and BC.

If there's a building on your farm due for an upgrade, let's talk: 403-553-4336

We see this all the time: a call comes in about panels a team needs on site in a few weeks — and the design work hasn't even started.

Lead time is the part of precast that catches people off guard. Panels have to be engineered, drawn, approved, and manufactured before they hit your site. None of that slows you down when it's planned for. All of it hurts when it isn't.

Brought in early, a precast partner can book production slots and move drawings forward while your site prep happens. The projects that go smoothest are the ones where that conversation happened months ahead, not weeks.

Myth: Concrete is concrete, no matter where it's poured.
Fact: Where a wall is made changes how it performs.

A panel cast in a plant cures at a controlled temperature, with a consistent mix and reinforcement placed to spec. It then gets inspected before it leaves the floor. A wall poured on site cures in whatever weather shows up that week.

Same material. Very different level of control.

Mountain View Precast started in August 2010 with two friends, Willard Mans and Leonard Bron, who believed that they could build something lasting in Southern Alberta.

They both came from the concrete industry, but they brought different strengths to the business. Willard has always been the relationship builder and big-picture thinker. Leonard brings a steady builder’s mindset and an organized approach that helps turn ideas into real projects.

From the beginning, MVP was never only about precast concrete. It was about quality work, local opportunity, long-term relationships, and a company people could be proud to be part of.

Nearly sixteen years later, that story is still moving forward with a growing team, projects across Western Canada, and a new home base under construction.

Large agricultural facilities ask a lot from their wall systems. They need to support daily farm operations, help maintain interior conditions, and stand up to moisture, cleaning, and long-term use.

The F-Field Breeder Barn in Taber, Alberta, is a strong example of a building that would demand a lot once in use. Completed for F-Field Farming Co., this project was designed for a large-scale poultry operation and required a practical precast package built around the needs of a modern breeder barn.

Mountain View Precast supplied the wall systems for the facility, including:
● insulated exterior panels
● interior barn wall panels
● cooler wall panels
● solid precast elements

It is a good look at how precast can support demanding agricultural environments with durable, purpose-built wall solutions.

There is pride in building something you can drive past years later and say, “I helped make that.”

At Mountain View Precast, our team constructs agricultural facilities, commercial buildings, and multi-residential projects across Western Canada. The work is hands-on, practical, and is done by people who care about doing the job right.

A career with MVP can mean:
● learning skills that are applied on real projects
● working with a team that takes pride in the details
● building structures that become part of local communities

MVP has grown because of the people behind the work. If that sounds like the kind of place you want to be, we want to hear from you.

It may not look like much yet. Right now, it is a field, a few shovelfulls of dirt, and the first signs of a new project beginning.

Soon, it will be the new home of Mountain View Precast.

This shop represents an important next step for MVP. Sure, we needed the extra space, but it really demonstrates our investment in the people, projects, and communities that helped bring our company to where it is today.

We are grateful for the opportunity to build something that will serve MVP well for years to come.
