It's hard to believe that it is October 1!

Some home maintenance tips you should do before the 'S' word flies:

- Inspect floor drain and pour a bucket of water into floor drain in basement
- Check CO and smoke detector batteries and test
- Clean range hood filters
- Cheek door and window weatherstripping
- Clean and service humidifier
- Change humidity setting on humidifier to around 20 percent (each home is different and it is dependent on outdoor temps!) adjust as needed if condensation appears on windows
- Drain exterior water lines/hoses
- Drain sediment on hot water tank
- Winter fertilize lawn
- Winterize your landscaping
