It's been a busy (and beautiful!) start to the week here at Boylan Electric. We've seen a little bit of everything - service upgrades, new installations, repairs, and my personal favourite: a brand-new Generac install.

There's just something about seeing a new product right out of the box, but even better is knowing that our customer will have added peace of mind when unexpected or extended power outages happen.

We are pleased to sponsor the 2026 Apple Cup Lacrosse Tournament shootout contest taking place today at noon, at both Kingston and Berwick rinks. The Apple Cup is one of the largest and longest running lacrosse tournaments in Atlantic Canada and is happening all weekend long in Berwick, Kingston and Middleton!

Two of our kids play lacrosse and we love watching the sport grow in this area.

This is Posey.

She’s still just a baby, and her favourite things are cords, sitting on invoices, and laying in my toolbox when it’s time for me to leave.

Chewing cords is more common than people think with young pets. Keeping cords tucked away or off the floor (and having outlets where you actually need them) makes a big difference.

One of our favourites right now are USB-C wall outlets - having one on each side of the couch has eliminated so many cords and charging blocks… and given Posey a few less “toys” to go after.

A quick homeowner tip (and unfortunately, really relevant in the Valley lately!)
