Check out our solar battery sheds! ☀️

We’re now building these insulated and heated sheds for many of our projects, giving the batteries their own protected space and keeping them warm through the winter.

They’re a great option when indoor space is limited, keeping the system out of the home while still making it easy to access and service.

Pretty slick setup, if you ask us.

One of the biggest questions we get about rooftop solar is: "Does it mean drilling holes in my roof?"

Here's what that actually looks like.

This is a roof attachment and flashing system installed beneath the shingles, secured directly into the roof framing, then sealed and protected by the shingle above it. It's designed to create a long-lasting, watertight connection that supports the solar racking for decades.

A properly installed roof attachment is one of the most important parts of a quality solar installation.

What's that black box on the roof?

It's called a junction box, and it's one of the key components that ties a solar array together.

As the solar panels generate electricity, the wiring from each string is routed into this weatherproof enclosure. Inside, the electrical connections are protected from the elements.

While the solar panels get most of the attention, it's components like the junction box that keep the system safe, organized, and built to last. Every connection matters.

Installing solar isn't just about putting panels on a roof, it's a process built around precision.

Every installation starts with layout. We snap chalk lines, map out every attachment point, and ensure the racking is perfectly positioned before a single rail goes up.

From there, we install the roof attachments and flashing, secure the L-feet, and mount the rails that will support the entire solar array. Only after that do we move on to the electrical work and installing the panels themselves.
The finished system gets all the attention, but it's the careful planning and quality workmanship underneath that make it last for decades.
