The Ottoman topper story....

Her: I don't like your coffee table but I love my Ottoman. You can put your feet up, sit on it for extra seating, push it up to the couch and many people can lay down at the same time.

Him: yeah but you can't put a drink on it, or put food on it because it'll fall and make a mess of the fabric. Also playing games on it is difficult because it moves around and doesn't sit flat.

Her: Could you make me a simple removable board to put over it when I need it

Him: Simple is boring but yes I will make you 'something nice'

Something nice: live edge maple boarder, mahogany inlaid trim everywhere, maple and oak herringbone pattern inner boarder with a chess/checkers board center panel. A Ceruse finish

Her: Omg it's absolutely beautiful and you did the live edge like I've always wanted
