Well after equipment got destroyed in shipping back in early June. Replacement equipment was shipped out immediately however tracking got mixed up by the shipping company and our equipment got sent to British Columbia. A month later we finally received it and banged out this job with a few LONG days as our job held up many other contractors. Today we finished things up. Now insulation company and fire suppression company can complete their tasks as can the electricians, painters and many more. Don't have completed pictures of the inside yet, but will update when all is completed by others. This is the former Stubborn Goat Gastropub on Grafton St in Halifax that was damaged with a grease fire.

Another one that's completed. We finished this install a month ago and we were waiting for electrical work to be completed. Not sure the estimated time for this European restaurant to be ready for opening. The project has been delayed since November. Things are finally moving forward. Be sure to stay tuned for the opening of 7:40 Restaurant located at 1438 Hammonds Plains Rd!

This is why it's important to have proper access panels in your grease duct and placed properly in accordance to NFPA-96 standards. This allows cleaning companies to thoroughly clean your duct to prevent this from happening. This was a former restaurant downtown Halifax that had a grease fire. This could most likely been prevented if it was able to be cleaned properly. Unfortunately, 3 90 degree bends and approximately 25 linear feet of duct work there was only one clean-out/access panel. The fan was also not on a hinge kit. At minimum this system would have required 5 panels and a hinge kit. In recent weeks, there was another restaurant not far from this location that also had a fire in their exhaust duct system. Same issues, not enough access panels for a thorough cleaning. Don't let your restaurant be the next one! If you are unsure if your system has adequate access panels or is even NFPA-96 compliant, give us a shout! HRM inspectors are cracking down on restaurants that aren't compliant and the fines, loss times of operation aren't good.

Another one underway. This is going to be the kitchen of a 7800 sq ft facility in Shubenacadie. It will house 4 golf simulators, axe throwing, washer toss, and more! Stay tuned for when they open! Going to be a blast.
