today met with coring company that cut open wall for our fresh air into laundry room. while there repaired one of four heating boilers burner that failed. igniter rod very corroded and warped. finally able to install the outside louvre and inside wall grille for fresh air. then went to another building to check a non working exhaust fan... bad switch and wire is shorting out somewhere inside conduit from switch to motor. electrician to be called in.

installed a gas line shut off in laundry room. installing fresh air to laundry room, coring company will cut out brick and poured foundation. louvre and wall grill to be installed.

installed new water feed for heating system. new gauges and an additional union to remove easily for future service.

working on a heating boiler that was intermittently shutting off. changed pilots, leads and repaired pilot tubing. probably will have to change ground wire on burner that may be faulty. will return to do that as soon as possible.

piping in heating lines to the new unit heaters today. they will help to keep the boiler room warmer in the winter. newer high efficiency boilers don’t give off heat like the older atmospheric boilers did. just need the electrician to come install electrical and they will be operational.

brand new burner assembly installed today. most of the basic parts have been changed on this hot water boiler now. hopefully it continues to work problem free for quite a while. regular maintenance should keep it running smoothly until the next part needs replacement.
