Hey guys, check out the update from the Festival of Lights. Let’s do what we can to support them during this trying time.
When we started the season back in April, we had four solid plans in place;
Plan A - Everything runs as usual
Plan B - We run with modifications
Plan C - Lights Only
Plan D - We are closed for the season
We are disappointed to say that due to the latest restrictions announced by the Alberta Government on November 24, we are having to cancel all extra activities within the park. However, we are choosing to focus on the positives, and are grateful to announce that we have been given the green light to run "Lights Only", December 1st at 6pm, allowing residents to have a GLOWing opportunity to get out of their homes and enjoy some holiday lights. We are hopeful to be able to add activities back by December 15th, depending on how people react to these latest restrictions. Our goal is for everyone to remain safe and healthy during these trying times, and as an organization, wouldn’t want to do anything to compromise that.
Even though we will be running Lights Only, there will still be restrictions for those visiting the park, including one-way traffic flow, ten people maximum in groups, maintained physical distancing, no congregating, and wear your mask, even though we are outdoors.
We are asking everyone to do their part now, stay within your family, wear your mask, practice good hand washing, and keep your distance from others.
We are in this together, and together we will GLOW!
