Back-to-school season brings increased pedestrian activity and changing traffic patterns around school zones.
For traffic control crews, it’s important to account for children who may be unpredictable, reduced visibility around parked vehicles, increased pedestrian crossings and changing traffic volumes during drop-off and dismissal. 🛑
Take the time to review the traffic management plan, confirm pedestrian routes, maintain clear communication and never assume a driver or pedestrian has seen you. 🚶♀️
