The objective of the project is to train semi-skilled and skilled artisans in the vocations of Building and Construction and other trades needed to diversify the economy. The chosen approach and method used in training is Competency Based Modular Training Programme which is a crash training programme designed to alleviate shortage of skilled manpower in the in the building and construction sector. The project support the broader ministry strategy by rapidly producing the skills required to meet the large demands arising from proposed and on-going projects in Gaborone and the country at large.

Today we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sunlux, a company that designs and manufactures high-quality solar street lights & LED Lighting Solutions. Sunlux is a 100% Botswana citizen-owned company whose aim is to solve lighting problems with cost-effective, sustainable solar-powered lights, bridge the gap between manufacturers and local end users, and answer the Presidential call to have locally manufactured goods. The MoU will facilitate Industrial attachment for trainees, collaboration on curriculum review, and absorption of trainees.
