Where sugarcane once gently swayed,
A legacy lives in memories made.
Of hands that worked, of hearts that cared,
And friendships grown and deeply shared.

The past and present now entwine,
Through heritage, nature, and community divine.
A humble shelter, a place to belong—
Kanlungan, where our roots live on.

Reliable Water Helps Keep Davao City’s Public Markets Running. 💧

At Panacan Public Market, access to reliable water supply helps vendors maintain food safety, keep seafood fresh, clean their stalls and equipment, and support their daily livelihoods.

Through the Davao City Bulk Water Supply Project, Apo Agua Infrastructura, Inc. supplies to the Davao City Water District up to 300 million liters of treated water per day to support the city’s growing water needs and strengthen water service reliability for households, businesses, and public markets.

This September 18, we join the world and the nation in celebrating the World Bamboo Day, and the National Bamboo Month in September pursuant to Proclamation No. 1401 under the theme "Kawayan sa Malikhaing Ekonomiya: Mula sa Tradisyon Tungo sa Inobasyon."

Through the collaborative efforts of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources - Forest Management Bureau and the Philippine Bamboo Industry Development Council, this observance underscores the transition of bamboo from a traditional resource into a key component of a green economy.

Beyond environmental conservation, bamboo contributes directly to rural development and poverty alleviation. By engaging People’s Organizations, upland farmers, local cooperatives, and indigenous communities in sustainable management and enterprise development, bamboo cultivation creates employment and reliable income streams by integrating traditional practices with modern processing techniques and promoting inclusive economic growth while ensuring ecological resilience.
