I was afraid I couldn’t paint this one.
But I pushed beyond my comfort zone.
The excitement I'm feeling isn't just overcoming my fear of failure.
It is exceeding my own expectations.
That feeling is hard to put into words.
It feels like trusting and believing in yourself.
For this painting, I had a very specific reference image in my head.
I couldn’t find it And painting it from imagination felt too difficult.
I didn’t want to use AI and I’m glad I didn’t.
Instead, I went to Vromoto & for inspiration and found a gem of a custom bike.
Even better, they let me paint inside the shop allowing me to create the setting I had envisioned.
Later, I learned more about the café racer build from the owner of JR Motorcycles. Sharing his passion for customisation I realised how he's creating art through bikes.
This painting was intense.
Exciting.
And a big next step for me and the series
I’m trying to visualise emotions that are hard to express in words.
This is N°4 of 12 MOTOphores paintings where motorcycles are the language for that.
One painting every month to raise awareness for **men's mental health**.
To start conversations.
To make it a little easier to talk about what we’re going through.
All the way to the next Distinguished Gentlemans Ride in 2027.
And I’m proud I pushed through!
Special thanks to JRmotorcycles and Vromoto for facilitating the creation of this artpiece.
Stay tuned...
