This week, the world marks World Environment Day 2026, and for us, itโ€™s a moment to pause, reflect, and speak plainly.

We are living through what scientists call the triple planetary crisis: climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. Three interconnected emergencies, unfolding simultaneously, each making the others worse.

These arenโ€™t distant threats. They are reshaping ecosystems, disrupting food systems, and undermining the natural foundations that communities depend on, right now.

Nature restoration is not a silver bullet. But it is one of the most powerful tools we have. Healthy forests regulate the climate. Diverse ecosystems are more resilient to pollution and extremes. Restored landscapes create corridors for wildlife and clean water for people.

๐Ÿ‘Š At Go Forest, this is the work we show up for every day: planting, restoring, and protecting the ecosystems that hold everything else together.

This World Environment Day, we invite you to look at the bigger picture. The three crises are one story. And the response must be just as connected.

๐Ÿ’š Keep an eye on our channels because weโ€™re launching something cool together with AIRSCAN.org and it has a strong link with the triple planetary crisis.

We took everything you loved about Gen 1 and made it greener, smarter, and more resilient.

This yearโ€™s theme: โ€œActing locally for global impact.โ€

We believe biodiversity starts with local action.
Because restoring nature is never just about trees, itโ€™s about bringing entire ecosystems back to life.

๐Ÿ’ช Thatโ€™s why our work is rooted in three pillars:
- Climate Mitigation
- Biodiversity
- Communities

We donโ€™t just plant trees.
We help restore habitats, support local livelihoods, and create space for life to thrive again.

๐ŸŒฟ Because when we act locally, the impact goes far beyond one forest.

๐Ÿ’š Letโ€™s protect and restore biodiversity, together.

๐Ÿ‘‰ From restoration to resilience.

In November 2022, reforestation efforts began at Wythy Piece and Stansted Forest: two sites of 0.35 and 2.02 hectares within the 480ha mixed woodland estate of The Stansted Park Foundation, located on the border of West Sussex and Hampshire.

What started as a response to ash dieback and larch disease is now becoming a thriving, resilient woodland ecosystem.
Over the past years, thousands of trees have been carefully hand planted by our trusted contractors, using a diverse mix of species including oak, wild cherry, small-leaved lime, wild service tree, and Douglas fir. The goal: restore biodiversity, strengthen forest resilience, and create productive woodland for future generations.

๐Ÿ˜ Today, the results are already visible. The young forest is establishing well, biodiversity is returning, and protected bird species such as the nightjar have already found their place within these renewed habitats: a strong sign that nature recovery is underway.

Projects like these show that thoughtful forest restoration can create lasting ecological impact while preparing landscapes for future environmental challenges.

Over the past months, we planted 18,516 mangroves in Madagascar, fulfilling all orders from December 2025 through March 2026.

What makes this even more meaningful is the incredible local collaboration behind it:
โ€ข March planting session: 25 planters + 4 team leaders
โ€ข April planting session: 74 planters + 1 team leader

All operations are carried out by trained local teams, creating not only environmental impact, but also strong community engagement and economic opportunities on the ground.

The mangroves are planted in the intertidal zone: a vital ecosystem that plays a key role in coastal protection, biodiversity, and long-term climate resilience.

๐Ÿ˜ What gives us the most energy is seeing how social and environmental impact come together.

To make this impact fully transparent for our partners, weโ€™ve built our own impact platform. Companies can follow every planting and maintenance update in real time, access impact data, and stay connected with the latest project news and insights.

๐Ÿ‘Š Building impact is one thing. Making it visible, measurable, and engaging is where real partnerships grow.

The communities of the Gran Chaco have lived from and within the forest for generations. They have always relied on hunting, gathering, and a deep understanding of the forest, rather than farming the land. Decades of logging have severely damaged these forests, disrupting food security and a way of life built around them.

In collaboration with Alianza Wichi, we work with the communities themselves to restore that foundation, through two complementary approaches tailored to each territory.

We reforest protected areas with native trees of high ecological and food value. Among them the carob, mistol, chaรฑar and the yuchan, a tree of great significance to these communities, as seen in this video. The goal is to recover the forestโ€™s capacity to feed and sustain the communities who have always lived from it, so families can continue to gather resources the way they traditionally have.

On defined plots within the communities, we develop multi-strata systems that combine different species such as mango, banana, avocado, citrus, moringa and medicinal plants. These systems directly address the malnutrition and health consequences of forest loss. The effect reaches beyond a single community, as neighbours come to learn and set up their own systems.

In this video, our colleague Lies explains how the project is helping to improve the resilience and diversity of one of the regionโ€™s most important forest ecosystems along the Amblรจve River.

Following the successful interventions of 10,500 trees in 2023โ€“2024 and 14,280 trees in 2024โ€“2025, the restoration effort is continuing this season and can ultimately expand to a total of 100,000 trees.

The forest currently consists mainly of spruce stands, which are increasingly vulnerable to drought, bark beetles and climate-related stress. Through localized thinning, progressive canopy reduction and targeted planting, we are gradually transforming the forest into a more resilient and diverse ecosystem with mixed species and irregular age structures.

Rather than clear-cutting, the project focuses on assisted natural regeneration and carefully adapted planting strategies, including the introduction of beech and other species suited to local conditions.

Beyond forest restoration, this project contributes to preserving the unique natural landscape of the Amblรจve region: a place valued by hikers, cyclists, riders and local communities alike.

A big thank you to everyone involved in this long-term effort (Otary RS nv, AstraZeneca, AG Insurance, ..). We look forward to continuing this important work in the years ahead.

Last week, we proudly wrapped up the 2025-2026 planting season in Belgium with a meaningful final planting day in Theux.

Together with a group of committed companies and individuals, we planted the final section of the Sohan project: a milestone moment that reflects what collaboration for nature can truly look like.

The Sohan project is focused on restoring forest resilience across three forest areas in Theux, where ecosystems have been weakened by fungal disease, aging trees, and climate-related stress. The devastating floods in the Vesdre Valley in 2021 further underscored the urgency of taking action.

This April, across 6.84 hectares, we planted 6,460 trees: including a diverse mix of oak, hornbeam, chestnut, rowan, hazel, larch, and cedar. By avoiding monocultures and embracing biodiversity, weโ€™re building forests that are stronger, more resilient, and better equipped to face future challenges.

Beyond planting, the project includes careful soil preparation, selective sanitary felling to limit disease spread, and protective measures to give young trees the best possible start. The forest will be managed under a continuous cover system, ensuring long-term health, natural regeneration, and sustainable timber production without clearcutting.

More than just trees, this project contributes to soil stabilization, strengthens the local ecological network, preserves the unique landscape of the Sohan valley, and creates habitat for wildlife.

๐Ÿ‘Š And weโ€™re not slowing down: planning for the next planting season starting this autumn is already well underway. Weโ€™re excited to have secured strong commitments from companies eager to invest in more green, both locally and globally.

๐Ÿ’š A big thank you to everyone who supported us and made this possible. This is what climate-adapted, responsible forestry looks like, and weโ€™re just getting started.
