Renewable Integration: The inclusion of three vertical-axis or small-scale wind turbines suggests a focus on off-grid capability or net-zero living.

Structural Contrast: You’ve used a "split-level" or "stilted" approach. The main living volume appears elevated, creating a sheltered outdoor space underneath, while a pedestrian bridge connects the parking area to the main entrance.

Materiality: The combination of a classic red gabled roof with dark charcoal/black siding creates a bold, contemporary silhouette.

Topography: The way the building is embedded into the sloped terrain (using retaining walls) creates a nice sense of "place" and privacy.

​In a world racing toward urbanization, this project documents the endurance and the eventual decline of traditional mud architecture. While modern structures offer durability, the loss of these huts signifies a shift in our environment and a thinning connection to our roots. This isn't just about a building; it’s about a lifestyle that is being rewritten by the next generation.
The Mud Walls of Konda

​The landscape of Konda, Bhangaon (Savar) is changing. As our population grows and the demand for "updated" concrete structures rises, the traditional mud huts—once the backbone of Bengali rural life—are rapidly disappearing.
​These images capture a moment of transition. The weathered mud walls, built with local soil and traditional wisdom, represent a sustainable architecture that kept homes cool in the summer and warm in the winter. However, as seen in the deep cracks and the encroaching modern buildings in the background, this era of "living with the earth" is under threat.

Architectural Chromatics: The Depth of a Petal
​Transitioning from the white-on-white structures of yesterday to this stunning lavender Cosmos. While the first was a lesson in pure form, this specimen teaches us about gradient and focal hierarchy.
​1. The Gradient Core
​In design, we use color to draw the eye toward the most important functional areas. Here, the deep magenta "threshold" at the base of the petals creates a dramatic transition into the golden center. It’s a perfect example of how a material transition can define a space.
​2. Linear Perspective
​If you look closely at the lavender petals, the delicate veins act like drafting lines. They provide a sense of scale and direction, leading the eye toward the center. This natural "hatching" provides a subtle texture that catches the light differently as the sun moves—much like the fluting on a classical column.
​3. Structural Rhythm
​The repetition of the eight petals creates a rhythmic cadence. Even in nature’s "irregularity," there is a mathematical precision that mirrors the golden ratio. It is a reminder that the best art—and the best architecture—is born from a balance of order and organic fluidity.
