Interior Design —OR Nizam Road, Chattogram
For Mr. Alamgir, Managing Director of a local development company, Darpan Sthapottobid provided design consultancy for an interior mockup of a residential unit at OR Nizam Road, Chattogram.
Our scope encompassed the interior design concept, 3D visualization, and detailed working drawings to facilitate the mockup implementation.
The design explores a minimal and restrained interior language, where spatial clarity and functionality take precedence over unnecessary visual elements. Selective modifications to the existing wall partitions were introduced to improve spatial continuity, optimize usable areas, and establish a more coherent spatial hierarchy. Additional interior partitions were incorporated where required to subtly define individual functions while retaining visual openness.
The dining zone was carefully repositioned within the revised spatial configuration, establishing a more natural relationship between the living and dining areas and improving the overall functionality of the layout.
Following a less-is-more approach, the intervention aims to create a calm, contemporary, and purposeful interior—where each element is considered for its spatial, functional, and visual contribution.
