Daisy Lou's Bathroom Renovations

13/10/2026

Four weeks into transforming a spare room into a huge bathroom! 💪

Particle board flooring replaced with 19mm cement sheet, nib walls built, new ceiling and cornice installed, and three coats of waterproof membrane applied.

Waterproof overlay inspection this morning, then onto the monumental task of tiling! 🛠️ Stay tuned for the transformation.

Another renovation of a reasonably new property in the Zilzie hills. As usual for this area, poor workmanship and non-compliant waterproofing has resulted in premature failure. Dodgy builders are certainly keeping me busy 😉

🚰 Puretec FilterWall F6 — whole-house water filtration

Another Puretec FilterWall F6 installation completed for a local client.

The F6 provides whole-house filtration, helping reduce unwanted contaminants and impurities from the incoming water supply — meaning cleaner, better-tasting water from every tap throughout the home.

No more breathing chlorine vapour while showering, and reduced exposure to contaminants such as chlorine, sediment, E. coli and lead in the household water supply. 💧

A great upgrade for anyone wanting to improve the quality of their water for drinking, cooking and bathing.

Three and a half weeks from start to finish, and this bathroom transformation has come up beautifully.
New floor, new ceiling, floor-to-ceiling ivory rectified wall tiles, cream porcelain floor tiles and a custom-made brushed brass shower channel grate perfectly matched to the tapware. The finishes and tones in this space work together flawlessly.

A big thank you to the customer for giving me the freedom to design the layout and for trusting me to bring the vision to life. That level of trust makes all the difference and allows for something truly special to be created.

Simply stunning from every angle.

I found a new three legged friend stumbling across a busy main road. I was soooo tempted to keep him but handed him to the vet instead. Apparently he was chipped and reunited with his human later that morning. 💜
